The Halloween Costumes 08'

Brandon & Malea Ellett as JIM & PAM & MICHAEL FROM THE OFFICE {notice the "world's best boss" onesie! I think you pulled it off guys ... Malea's outfit is very Pamish}.

Eric & Ginger Pelton as HAWAIIAN DUDES {check out Eric's REAL tan line & Ginger really can hula ... I should have made her dance for everyone}.

Ashlynn & Coby Mitchell as GOTHIC MESS & PRIEST {we really did have cool costumes ready to go but Coby changed his mind the day of ... we had a fight over it ... awesome}.

Andy & Fergi Johnson as GOB FROM ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT & HIS BEAUTIFUL ASSISTANT {I don't know who these characters are but I thought the costumes were sweet anyway. Andy even let us try out the segway - thanks for coming to the PARTY}.

Christy & Erick Yardley as SARAH PALIN & JOHN MCCAIN {seriously they played the part & were campaigning from the moment they walked through the door - it was a perfect match - glad you guys could make it after the drive from Cedar City}.

JD & Lacey Carter as SUPER MARIO BROTHERS {this photo makes me want to jump - great costumes guys - thanks for going out of your way to come to the party & sport a sweet costume}

Dan & Lindsie Polhamus as JD & LACEY CARTER PAPER BAG FACES {this was funny because they are neighbors & JD & Lacey didn't know they were coming as them. Lindsie won fastest donut eater from the donut on a string game too.}

Pete & Angie Anderson as WHITE TRASH {this is the best because Angie is due any day with her 2nd baby but it totally looks like a beer belly - my opinion - best pregnant Halloween costume ever! Pete is a tough guy too so his costume cracked me up!}

Allen & Mehgan Dellinger as STOCK MARKET CRASH BUSINESS MAN & MEG AS HER TOTALLY 80'S SELF {my older sister with her hubby - they were awesome - in fact Meg looked just like she did in the 80's it was awesome}.

Shawna & Curt Wakefield as a WITCH & LEPRECHAUN{love the shoes Curt - you guys are the best - sorry I didn't take another photo where you had your eyes open Shawna}

Angela & Mark Stauffer as NURSE & COP {he came to the door as a cop & said to turn off the strobe light because it was making the horses across the street crazy & the neighbors were complaining about noise. I of course believed him & prayed he didn't recognize who I was with my wig on. After I shut the door they knocked & laughed - haha}.

Shane & Tina Ewell as EL GUAPO & GRANDMA {these guys are so great, love them & Tina won best female costume for the night}.

Heather & Trent Jones as HIPPIES {Trent should really grow his hair out - he looks pretty sweet - thanks for coming even with Grant}.

Derek & Stevie Allen as STICK PEOPLE {my brother & sis-in-law who were full of creativity}

Chad & Annie Nelson as HANNAH MONTANA & HER BOYFRIEND OR JOE DIRT {Those tats on Chad look too good to be fake, are you sure he didn't spend the month getting them on. Annie I totally didn't know who you were until I read your blog ... I can give the excuse of not even knowing what Hannah Montana looks like though!}

Brandon & Brittany McCoy as BLUE MAN GROUP {they are awesome for doing this because all night they couldn't hear very well because of the swim caps they were wearing & no one knew who they were because they look so BLUE}.

Jamey & Austin Gentry as GREASER & 50'S CHIC {Jamey's is a Wal-Mart costume - I was so surprised because it was totally cute}.

Lindsey & Chris Howard as ANNIE OAKLEY & GUN SLINGER COWBOY {They got their costumes from Tuacahn so they were pretty sweet}

Russ & Mindi Clove as LUNCH LADIES {loved the costumes & you definitely deserved to win - was it most creative? I forget, but you rocked your costumes! By the way, love that you recognized my siblings from their blogs - you are great!}

Ron & Shannon Jensen as BLOWING IN THE WIND {I have wanted to do this costume for years, so to see it in person was awesome ... I need to copy it one of these years. This costume won best couple}.

Neal & Megan Marchant as BOY SCOUTS {oOOh baby, Neal won best male costume for this one - YIKES!}

Chad & Lacey Farr as TERRORISTS {don't miss the bomb strapped to his belt - most people missed out on this feature & thought they were Mary & Joseph}

Old Town @ night

Tip: go there in the evening and enjoy the illuminated alleys and houses. Yes, fairy-tales do exist. One of them is called Gamla Stan. {words from a Sweden travel guide}

Thinking back to our trip to Europe last year I realized some of my favorite moments included the moments just after this photo was taken when we walked down the streets of Old Town in Stockholm in the rain eating ICE CREAM ... it really was lovely. I plan to do it again. Just sitting here remembering how much I loved Sweden, how much I wanted to stay there & never go home, how sad I was to leave ... I feel so blessed to be going again.

Honestly, the morning we left Stockholm last year I told Coby I would find a way to get back there. A trip paid for by others & I get to share it with friends. Amazing how things happen.

I am SO excited for this ... I hope you are too Jen & Chris ... we are going to be dead tired but we HAVE to live it up!!!

I can't wait to see them both.

Nekku's baptism

Saturday morning we drove to Logan to go to brunch with Nekku (@ Angies) then to her baptism (@ the Tabernacle). She had her friend there who is also Finnish ... they both look like movie stars we decided. Her baptism was heavily attended, there were probably 40 people left standing because the room was filled. Tons of boys were there ... I am pretty sure they all wanted to marry her.

Jamey's wedding

My friend Jamey from High School {who admits to looking @ my blog} got married over the weekend to a great guy from Colorado. They got married in Zion National Park @ the Cliffrose Lodge & the reception was great. Not only was the food, scenery & music great but I got to see old friends from high school.

For all those who went to high school with me ... Mason Cottam played & sang sweet music all night (wife Melanie was there as well). Whitney Carlton made a beautiful cake & yummy cupcakes that I enjoyed. John McArthur came up from California with his cute girlfriend. Maegan Barnum attended with her cute family ... as did Ginger Pelton & her kids & Hillary Redd. Sadly I had to feed Lucy in outer darkness so I didn't get to chat with these gals long. Let's do lunch & I AM SERIOUS! The photos are lame since I didn't get to really participate ... with Coby in California it made it a bit hard with Lucy, but I managed.
Side note: While I was banished to outer darkness to feed the babe I was looking around the lodge gardens & thinking it would be a sweet place for our class reunion. There is tons of room & people could hike before or after. Any thoughts on the idea?

Bloggers unite

This week was full of new friends welcomed into my blogging world! I found Erica's blog because she linked her blog to mine ... if you haven't done that try it, it is interesting! Use this link & search your website in the search box.

Anyway ... Erica has been my friend since I was in elementary & moved into Morningside where she lived. I remember coming home after school & going to her house to watch MTV because I wasn't allowed at my house {so rebellious}. I was boy crazy with Erica for many years. In fact we had best friend boyfriends for awhile & we could talk on the phone for hours! Erica is totally cute & is a really good mom.

More blogging buddies

Ginger has joined my friend list after finally sharing her website address (which I got from my sister not Ginger). Ginger has been my friend since high school, we ended up being friends because my sister & her sister were friends. She has always been a good friend & good example of being friends to everyone. I don't know that she has an enemy in the world, she's just plain nice! She can hula like no other too ... totally cute.

Another blogger friend

I am adding another link to my friends list ... Angie Anderson. I am excited to see what Angie writes about on her blog & also for me to see what is going on in her life. I think it was 3 or 4 years ago that Coby came home from working at the BLM doing fire & said I should be friends with his friend's wife. I thought it was funny he was setting me up to be friends with someone, but it worked out great! Angie is so easy to be friends with, so easy to get a long with & talk with. She is beautiful & fun!

Secret Blogger OUT

My cute friend Jennifer Peterson is finally letting her secret blog out & I have added her to my link list! If you are looking for great style, beautiful decorating & great ideas check out her blog. If I could have anyone's house & decorations I would pick hers & change nothing. Jen is one of my favorite people, everything she does is awesome plus she herself is awesome!

Glass Pedestal {wal-mart special}

This cute glass pedestal was included in Jordan's Christmas gifts under $30 last year. I received one of these & have loved it ... can you believe it is from Wal-Mart?!

Sadly during our move to our new house the box with this glass lid was dropped & thrown away without me knowing until just this week. After weeks of wondering where I had misplaced it Coby told me he had just thrown the box away before I could be sad.

Luckily it is still cute without the lid.

Who are these people?

I have added many to my list of friends, but I often forget to check other people’s links after awhile so I thought I would let you know who my links are. As I thought about these gals I realized I have great friends who all seem to be beautiful, smart & funny. Lucky me!

Erica: My older sister who always dresses up head to toe even when never leaving her house. She is a fabulous mom, funny & a great friend.

Meg: My oldest sister who has become one of my best friends. She is a great mom of 6 kids & super active in different organizations.

Mombo (mom): She is also one my best friends who I can just hang out with & do nothing. She is funny, generous, smart & someone I want to emulate one day.

Anne: We never have hung out as “friends” but I would still consider her to be one. We have crossed paths in our lives for years. She is talented in many areas.

Annie: My friend since elementary school, super funny {she can make anyone laugh}, super cute & a friend to all. Annie is awesome.

Ashley: A stunning gal who may just be the girl of most men’s dreams. She is smart, funny, athletic & beautiful.

Becca: One of my best friends since Jordan & I forced her to be friends with us back in middle school {because our older siblings were friends which meant we should be too}. She is beautiful in everyway, stylish, crafty, a hard worker & smart.

Brandee: I remember Brandee being too beautiful to be my friend in elementary but when I actually met her later in our school years I loved her. She is funny, a great mom & she must be super organized with all she can do everyday!

Brit: I have known her since we were little yet we haven’t hung out since 7th grade {maybe even before that}. She is beautiful, a good mom & supportive of her family & friends.

Brooke: Stunning with a beautiful family. She is smart, dedicated, funny & creative. I have also known Brooke since we were little.

Bunch o’ Girls: Just what it sounds like, a bunch of girls all keeping in touch. I stalk their blog & they let me. These gals I know through my sisters or friends.

Debbie: We never really hung out in high school, but all my friends were also her friends, so we just have known each other. I have found that she is really funny, smart & successful.

Gabby: Jordan’s cool older sister, creator of designmom.com. She is super mom with tons of creative talent & cute kids.

Heather: Heather is Ginger’s older sister & super coolio. She is living in France with her cute little boy & husband. She makes me excited to be a mom.

Hillary: I love Hillary, especially since I have gotten to be around her again after many years apart. She is so funny, beautiful & has super cute boys.

Janae: We are blogger friends, only having met a few times outside the computer. She is a beautiful girl, funny & I am sure she would be an awesome neighbor & friend if she lived close. I work for her brother-in-law.

Jen: I have recently gotten to know this cute girl over the past year. She is the most amazing mother I know, she has 1 year old twin girls & a 2 month old baby girl! She is friendly, funny, caring & beautiful.

Jill: Jill is one of my old friends from high school who still keeps in touch from Florida. She is super smart, pretty & fun. She is a brand new mom too.

Jordan: Jordan has been my friend since elementary & still reminds me of when I ditched her at the mall. She is very creative, beautiful & full of good ideas. She is a great storyteller & she along with her entire family is super funny.

Katie: I haven’t seen Katie for so many years I can’t remember, but reading about her life on her blog keeps me updated. She is super cute {even @ 8 mo prego}, has super cute girls & is organized.

Kena: I grew up down the street from Kena & now see more of her mom than I do of her. Kena is way ahead of me in being a super mom & in maturity, she is a great lady & I have enjoyed seeing who she has become over the years.

Kristen: I grew up down the street from Kristen & went through Young Women’s with her by my side. Kristen is a fun mom, creative & funny. I have been able to learn more about her from her blog.

Lacey: She lives up the street from me & is a super neighbor by inviting us to dinner & making sure I am ok while Coby is gone. She is extremely beautiful & if I didn’t know her I would probably think she was too cute to be my friend. She is super smart too.

Malea: She is my oldest friend from way back! We have danced together, traveled together, played sports together & watched Saturday morning cartoons together. She is very talented, very beautiful & very funny & just told everyone she is prego!

Marissa: I nannied for Marissa's family when I was 19 years old. Marissa was beautiful then just like she is now. I always knew she would be successful but it still amazes me to see what a great woman she has become.

Peggy: This is Anne’s big sister. Peggy & I haven’t ever hung out as friends but I would say she is a friend of mine. She is very talented, open to new things {living in Italy with her husband & 2 kids right now}, and makes me want to be more active in exercising.

Sarah: Rebecca & Ashley’s older sister who I grew up around. She has a beautiful family & is probably one of those girls you would see & envy … she is stylish & beautiful.

Shawna: I just moved from Shawna’s neighborhood & luckily she has decided to still be my friend. She is super funny, super cute with cute kids & smart. She & her husband are getting their masters while being full time parents.

Teresa: I hadn’t seen Teresa since high school but then we got to meet up over the summer. I was blown away at how beautiful she is & her beautiful hair. I still wish I knew how to do my hair like hers. She is fun to be around & easy to talk to. She just started a blog & joined my blogger group of friends.

LAC November 2007

Hillary & Maegan hosted Ladies Activity Club {LAC} for November & it was great. We all brought a favorite recipe made with the recipes to hand out. I got a bunch of good recipes to try out at home & was in good company all night. Thanks for those in attendance & for the cute hostesses who taught us how to fold napkins so many different ways! {sorry to those who didn't get in the photos, I was sitting next to you & failed to get photos}.
If you are interested in joining us next year when we continue LAC let me know! I am also looking for hostesses for each month of next year. If you feel like you can't do it alone I will host with you & even offer my house to anyone who needs the space.
We are now on break for the holidays!
