LAC January 2008
Ladies Activity Club {LAC} was held @ my house this month & we had a fabulous turn out! After everyone had gone home I realized I had failed to take any pictures the entire night & I am quite sad since everyone is so cute & brought great items to share. I had a great time & I appreciate the participation each month, it is so fun!
Our theme ... bring your favorite items & share why they are so great.
{pardon the collage of photos that are not put together well}
So here it is ... our Best of the Best 2008!
Jen P. brought ... Airborne {her family hasn’t been sick all year because of it}, Burts Bees Cuticle Cream {it works & lasts forever}, Bliss The Youth As We Know It {worth every penny after seeing her skin}, Ganache for lips {made from real chocolate}, St. Ives Eye & Face Stress Gel {keeps it in the fridge & uses it every morning}, Lily padz {great during nursing}, Bella Materna Nursing Bra {easy to use & so comfortable}.
Maegan B. brought … Gold Bond Softening Lotion {it is cheap & works awesome dry cracked skin}.
Ashley H. came but I don't know if she brought anything ... if so please let me know!
Malea E. brought … Bare Minerals Summer Bisque powder {hides dark spots}, Baby Bliss Nano Straightening Iron {makes the frizz go away} & Fenugreek vitamins {helps bring milk in when nursing}.
Becky G. brought … Fels-Naptha {great laundry stain remover for baby poop, oils & blood}, Bar Keepers Friend {great for sinks & tubs} & Ferrero Rocher Chocolates {yummy}.
Lindsay M. brought … Pyrex casserole dishes that she etched her name in the bottom {great for taking dinner to a friend & getting your dish back}.
Ray C. brought … Trek music CD {great inspirational music that doesn’t sound like church music}.
Jen C. brought … Five gum {the packaging is sweet & the flavors are awesome}.
Brandee W. brought … Magic Eraser blocks {great for cleaning anything, wet or dry} & DKNY Be Delicious perfume {smells fresh & yummy}.
Carly K. had me bring on her behalf … Bliss Body Buff {great for sensitive skin & smells good}.
Becca S. brought … Homemade Polish Almond Bread which we all ate {Very light & yummy}
Kena S. brought … Diet Coke {loves it} & Hobble Creek Watermelon candle {strong smell that lasts long}.
Annie N. brought … Cocoa Latte Maker {perfect for making hot cocoa frothy & she made some for us} & Shark cordless/bagless vacuum {even cooler in person, handy little vacuum}.
Angie A. brought … Pureology Texture Twist {rub together for a great look in your hair}.
Ashlynn M. brought … Chef’n Palm Peeler {love this little tool for peeling foods}, J Lo’s Live Luxe perfume {so light & summery I love it} & Fashion Tape {great for button-up shirts & shirts that won’t stay put but buy it @ Ross for less $$$}.
Shawna W. brought … Bag Balm {cure-all for nursing, diaper rash & cuts}, Healthy Sexy Hair Straightener {great for no frizz hair} & Clinique all over color {works like a bronzer}.

LAC August 2007
For LAC (Ladies Activity Club) in August we met up @ Blue Bunny Ice Cream Parlor. We had 15 reply they were coming & 8 showed up ... so I am guessing everyone had something come up, but hopefully are all ok! We did however have 4 new gals come - so that was awesome!
Yeah for new friends.

What is LAC?
Next Thursday night we are meeting for our monthly LAC {Ladies Activity Club} at Blue Bunny Ice Cream Parlor. If you are interested in joining us let me know & I can add you to our list!
You may be asking "What is LAC?" Well here is your answer - courtesy of Emily who started this in San Francisco.
The LAC has been created for Southern Utah women to get to know new people and possibly new skills. Once a month we set aside an evening (2nd Thursday) to get away from work, kids, home, and our hubby’s just to be with the girls. Members are encouraged to bring guests so we can grow in members each time. It's great to invite people that you don't necessarily know that well; it keeps the whole thing very casual and helps you meet new friends.
As for activities, anything goes! We may have art projects, cooking, cupcake decorating, pumpkin carving, game night, and field trips, 80’s aerobics’ night, whatever you want! Each host picks their theme and plans a simple snack or dinner to match. Each guest brings money which goes towards the cost of activities and or food, although some months there may be no cover charge depending on what the host chooses.
I manage the invites and rsvp's myself instead of handing that job to the hostess for the month. I use evite.com which allows everyone to see who is coming & keeps a running tally for the hostess.
Oh, and there is only one rule: You're not an "official member" until you've hosted your first party.

LAC June 2007
ASHLEY took us on a sweet little hike last night for LAC. The weather was nice & hot & the scenery was just as promised ... beautiful. Ashley said she would take us on the full hike on a Saturday morning one of these days - like a mid month LAC ... so watch out for that! In attendance .... Laura, Ashley, Rebecca, Shawn, & myself. Rebecca brought here sister-in-law all the way from Arizona along, so she got the "bring a friend" gift.
We need to figure out that best day for people to attend because every month the date seems to not work for 60% of our members. We want a big crowd!

LAC April 2007
Last night was LAC (Ladies Activity Club) for April. Brandee was the hostess & did a great job! We laughed, played PIT, ate snacks & enjoyed the fabulous weather of St. George. Notice Annie has the shirt I want with the tie sleeves - doesn't she look cute in it!? OH the group picture has a dog in the bottom of the picture - it ran in the courtyard just as we were taking it.
By the way - PIT is the best game, we had a great time! Thanks to Brandee! We got to hear about upcoming plans for the months ahead & I am excited, I think we should do this more often.

LAC March 2007
LAC this month was fun - I wish more people could have come. Rebecca made delicious carmel popcorn which I am still enjoying & we watched Marie Antoinette. Her life was pretty crazy. Going to bed with tons of people around your bed praying for you to get pregnant & then waking up & having ladies dress you. Yikes - I am definitely in the right era.

I will learn one day to take photos at the right times but for now this is what you get.

LAC February 2007
We had our 1st Ladies Activity Club party last night. Emily has been having her LAC for over a year in San Francisco & encouraged me to start one in St. George. So we did! I did however forget to get pictures of the night except for what is shown. I made homemade pizzas (Thai Chicken, BBQ Chicken & Veggie), the best cupcakes ever & yummy melt away cookies. I will post the cupcake recipe later, they are fabulous. We had 12 girls come & we ate, talked & made cute marble magnets.
